| Texas Quilt Shop Directory My goal this year is to visit a new quilt shop in Texas every weekend. I will write about each shop and include photo's if the shop allows. So far I have visited three and Loved each one!!! When collecting my research, I have tried to include as much about the shop as I can, before you visit the quilt shop, please call to verify their store hours have not changed. The quilt store is really easy to find its just off the town square in Rockwall Texas. I am never sure if we will be "welcome" when I walk in with my twinadoes- but we were almost immediately met with a warm hello was we came in. And the quilt shop helper asked the girls what their favorite fabrics were and was very kind to them. Texas Quiltworks is layed out really nice and their fabrics were awesome. I just loved the variety in fabrics they seemed to have it all! Each of the girls choose a fat quarter and I picked up some batiks and a few patterns. When I got up to the register I was told all about the block of the month club and invited to participate. They were a really friendly group of folks. I would definitely go back! I just love this store- They seemed to have it all. The best way to describe it is a baby Handcock Fabrics Store. Thomas has quality quilt fabrics, fat quarters, sewing machines, quilting supplies, sewing supplies, and some fantastic classes. I signed up for a class to make a quilters chair cushion. Looks like it will be too fun. The staff was warm and very helpful. They had lots of samples of items make with fabrics and patterns sold in the store. A must visit if you are in the Mesquite Texas area.
