My first quilt made at Suzy's Quilt Shop in Garland, TX. Beginning Quilting Class taught by Sharon.
Suzy's Quilt Shop in Garland Texas After looking for a fun (non-working) creative sewing outlet, I found Suzy's Quilt Shop last summer and took a beginning quilt class. It was wonderful and I was hooked! The beginning quilt class was 6 weeks long and met every Tuesday for a few hours. We learned how to choose fabrics, cut patterns, and put together quilt blocks. My all time favorite thing to do at Suzy's Quilt shop is "Fantastic Friday Nights", once a month on the second Friday Suzy's hosts a lock in from 6pm to midnight. If it were any more fun, it would not be legal! A group of about 20 quilters bring their project to work on. The other bonus about the fun night is that on Fridays fat quarters are buy three get one free.
Top reasons why I shop at Suzy's Quilt Shop Suzy's has a great selection of Moda Fabrics and Batik Fabrics. Suzy's Quilt shop has a wide selection of quilt patterns, beginning, advanced and intermediate. Fantastic Friday Nights Lock In. Fat Quarter Fridays - buy three and get one free. Suzy's sends out an email newsletter to keep us all up on whats going on at the shop.

Stitchin Sisters Quilt Club and Suzy's Quilt Shop We meet once a month on a sunday and we are making: Heirloom Stitches- A Sampler Quilt by Lori Smith. It is just a beautiful quilt design. As you can see mine is not so traditional. I decided to make an art quilt version with lots of different textiles and techniques.
