Halloween Postcards How to make halloween fabric and mixed media postcards. Below you will see several different halloween postcards that I have made, as you can see halloween is a great theme. There are just so many different creative postcards that you can make.
Angelina Fibers Cob Web Fabric Postcard - Start with a layer of fast to fuse - Fuse a piece of solid orange fabric - Lay pressing sheet on iron board, layer angelina fibers and flat black spider embellishments and then more angelina fibers. - Fuse Angelina Fiber web with Iron. -Let cool. - Lay the angelina cob web on top of the orange postcard base. - Using the free motion feature on your sewing machine (or hand sew) to make the cob webs. The cob webs are easy to make, just circle the spider a few times then stitch lines from the outer circle towards the spider. - Iron a piece of muslin onto the back side of the postcard (to address and mail). Trim to fit the 4" X 6" piece of fast to fuse. - Finish the halloween postcard with a zig zag stitch around all 4 sides.
Happy Halloween Applique Fabric Postcard Start with some little candy corn fabric and some pumpkin fabric. Fuse the candy corn fabric to the fast 2 fuse base then cut pumpkins out and glue stick them onto the candy corn fabric. Once you have several pumpkins placed on the base, make a sheet of angelina (see above) free motion stitch all around the pumpkins stitching the angelina and appliques down. Finish off the postcard with a strip of Happy Halloween ribbon and zig zag the edges with orange or gold thread.
Halloween Collage Fabric Postcards Collage postcards are my favorite to make. Start with a collection of your favorite halloween fabrics. Cut into different shapes and glue with glue stick onto the fast2fuse base. After the base it completely covered, free motion stitch the pieces on or zig zag stitch the different pieces together. Then embellish with halloween ribbons, charms, angelina, buttons anything.
Creepy Pumpkin Patch Fabric Postcard This card is fast and fun to make. Start with a print that has several pumpkins (this print came from Walmart). Glue on some wiggly eyes and make a small angelina spiderweb. Finish off your card with some glitter paint and zig zag the edges with orange thread.
