Dallas Area Fiber Artists
DAFA

I just joined the Dallas Area Fiber Artists and wow what an amazing group of talented artists!  I am hoping just a smidgen of their talent rubs off on me.  The energy in the room is invigorating.  And friendly...everyone was so welcoming and friendly! You could tell that they want new people to join their group.  I left the meeting all excited to try new things. If you are a Dallas fiber artist you should consider going to one of their meetings.

Dallas Area Fiber Artists meet:
4th Monday of the each month
At the C. C. Young Retirement Community in the Center for Arts and Education,Porter Auditorium. 4829 Lawther West, Dallas, Texas.
The meeting begins at 7:15 pm with program following.

They also usually have a monthly art lab before the meeting it usually starts around 5:30 (check the website below for exact times, mini-workshop topics, costs and supplies.)

March Mini Workshop

Taught by VET a Dallas Area Fiber Artist.  VET taught a very interisting workshop on Omiyage Needle Art (o-me-yq-ge).  We made these absolutely adorable little dolls from scraps of fabric, a little stuffing, stocking, thread, beads and a touch of love.
