Therapy In Session Wall Quilt I made this quilt top for a quilt challenge at Quiltmakers in Dallas, Texas. It won 3rd place. I purchased the "Therapy In Session" panel at the Dallas Quilt Show. The original panel is black and white, so I used fabric ink and painted the panel then added little "quilt" appliques onto the blue quilt background. From there I added the Loralie Designs fabric women squares (I met the designer today at the Martha Pullen Market and she is as charming as her designs!) Then added some cutting mat fabrics, little button fabrics and tome assorted sewing notions fabrics. This quilt is much more bright in person than in the photo. I used my $50.00 gift certificate to purchase the beautiful purple and orange batik fabrics in the photo for my next quilt. Thank you Quiltmakers!

BBQ Quilt I purchased fat quarters of most of the center fabrics with the intention of making a simple patchwork cover for our kitchen window seat. Well as you can see it became much more. We repainted our kitchen from a really drab grape leaf green color to a bright bicycle yellow. This quilt was just supposed to be the covering for the window seat, but now I hang it in the window on a rod. I am not a big fan or curtains so this is a nice compromise. It is so much fun. The pattern is my own design and is made completely from picnic and junk food fabric. The back of the quilt is a vibrant blue with soda bottles.

Crazy Daisy Patchwork I LOVE Michael Miller Fabrics! This silly quilt was made with the MM daisy fabric. It's hard to see in the photo, but I made blocks then cut them on different angles then put them together to make 9 large blocks. The quilt has a lot of movement and you can also enjoy the charm of the floral print.

Silly Square Quilt Mom and I went on a shop hop with the Garland Quilt Guild -when we stopped at Alice Wilhoit's shop in McKinney I purchase the fat quarter fabrics above. One afternoon I decided to sew them up and this silly quilt was born. My twins love it.
Flower Garden- a fun and silly quilt- it hangs in the entrance way to our house.
"Death Can be Beautuful" This art quilt shows the leaf decay process of fall. My son went around our neighborhood and picked up leaves for me. We then made plastic templates. The quilt is made from silk leaves, organza leaves, felt leaves and batik leaves with angelina. The leaves fall down the trunk of a tree.
Sunflower stained glass quilt- and yes my kitchen walls are really that bright yellow...LOL
