| Charming quilt patterns to recreate quilts of the past. Each pattern is just adorable. If you used vintage or reproduction fabrics you could really create a baby quilt that had a unique look. It seems to be very chic to use the old patterns with the reproduction fabrics and put chenille or minkey dot fabric on the back. I have seen several of these baby quilts made up and they were just too cute. I have made the raggedy ann quilt as a gift and it was the talk of the baby shower. Most of the decoration on these vintage quilt patterns are either hand embroidery or a combination of hand embroidery and applique. You can easily transfer them to your fabric with either a light box or by using a Clover Iron On Transfer Pencil (very easy, to use you trace the design and then iron it on). You can use vintage color embroidery thread to make a chic looking baby quilt or use colors that match the nursery that the baby quilt will be used in. Thats the nice part about sewing your own baby quilt- you decide how you would like your project to look. You can alter the colors or pattern. Looking for a quilt pattern?
